If it hasn’t hit you already, it soon will. Twitter has gradually been rolling out a new user profile redesign — and while the changes are many, they are also eerily familiar. User information will be augmented on the page, and a few new features will be added that are fairly similar to Facebook’s current profile look. See below.

Strikingly similar, no?

Twitter’s new look includes a larger user photo with a customizable header image, similar to Facebook’s Cover Photo. Below that is basic information about the user, as well as photos they have uploaded and who else they follow on Twitter, aka their Friends. Since many Tweeples are not fans of Facebook, it should be interesting to see the reaction from the general public on the new design.

Other features that Twitter is introducing include:

Best Tweets: You’re most popular and engaged-with Tweets will appear slightly larger so they are easier to find.

Pinned Tweet: You can also place some of your favorite Tweets at the top of your page.

Filtered Tweets: When viewing another Twitter profile, you can filter through their tweets, selecting by Tweets, Tweets with photos/videos, or Tweets and replies.

While the new Twitter design hasn’t hit everyone yet, you can check out the new features on the following profiles: @zacefron@channingtatum@nikosaliagas@AFL@flotus@gilbertogil@FloydMayweather@kerrywashington@JohnLegend, and @weezer.

The new design should fully take over user profiles in the next few weeks. Keep an eye out!
