That Google — always coming up with rad new things to make life easier. FSC’s Search and Web departments let out a collective “hooray” July 18, as Google announced their new Google Analytics App for iOS. The Google Analytics we know and love is now optimized for the iPhone, allowing one to monitor a business’ web results and provide up to the minute reporting from their fingertips.

An industry standard in providing web analytics since 2005, Google Analytics is one of the most invaluable tools we use every day here at FSC. The ability to view real-time stats like: visitor traffic, page views, referral traffic and more on-the-go is a big step in efficiency. Our very own Director of Search shares her thoughts on the app’s usefulness:

“The usefulness and efficiency of pulling campaign conversion data in the moment at client meetings is invaluable.  So often when we are sitting around the table with all of our client’s agency partners, a question will come up about how a particular campaign is performing. The new Google Analytics App has made us the hero in those meetings, even in the short time the App has been available.”

The iOS app features are similar to the Android app and include the following: 

  • A completely redesigned, mobile-optimized look and feel
  • Side navigation that mirrors Google Analytics on the web for quick access to reports
  • Specialized reporting for web and app views (profiles)
  • An Overview screen summarizing key metrics from each report
  • Deeper analysis via dimension-based drill down in most reports
  • Better Real-Time reporting
  • Advanced Segments to further analyze your data
